Rage Against The Machine are one of the greatest and most powerful rock bands out there, and I for one was really excited when supreme guitarist Tom Morello released 'World Wide Rebel Songs' this year.
It was released as Tom Morello, The Nightwatchman; his alter-ego solo act formed in 2003 as a musical outlet for his political views, while he was playing apolitical music with Audioslave.
I have all the Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave albums on my music folder on my r4i card so I listen to them a lot when I'm on the go, and when this album came out in August it just slotted into place so brilliantly with the rest of my library.
Morello is an absolutely phenomenal guitarist, I'm lucky enough to have seen him with Rage Against The Machine twice and he is just unbelievable. He performs these fantastically intricate guitar solos with such effortless charm, it's unending-ly impressive.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe adapted the classic German character of Faust into a tragic play of two parts. Considered to be Goethe’s most famous work, Faust is also considered by many to be one of the best works of German literature ever written. Written between 1806 and 1831, it appeared posthumously in 1832.
Goethe’s Faust remains a resonant parable on scientific learning and religion, independence and love, passion and seduction, as well as many other subjects to this date. Goethe places science and power within the context of a morally interested metaphysics in this play, something which cannot fail to grasp readers’ imaginations for years to come. Faust, a scientific empiricist, is forced to confront the difficult questions of good and evil, sexuality and mortality, and God and the Devil.
Goethe’s Faust has deeply influenced the German language itself. “Des Pudels Kern”, which means the deeper meaning of something that was not evident before, simply did not exist before Goethe coined it in Faust. Why not use your Tesco discount codes to buy the play cheaply?

I have had the biggest waste of an evening in my entire life. The only evening that could even compare to tonight in terms of futility was my sisters netball tournament when i went to watch her team play for 3 hours (on top of a 4 hour round trip to get there) only for her to sit on the bench the entire evening. At least on that evening i was doing something nice for somebody else-i can’t even say that tonight! I have spent the whole evening seeking to indulge myself to limited avail. Well, ok, in the end i achieved exactly what i needed to, but it just took hours longer than it should have.
I got home so late from work tonight that i missed the lottery numbers on TV. I searched the internet for hours looking for them, but with no success. Then i asked my friend who i was chatting with if he knew the lotto result and straight away he sent me the link above. I couldn’t believe it, i have since shared the link with many friends, who all knew about it already- im so out of touch!

I love live music, I just can't get enough of going to see bands perform live at gigs and especially at festivals.
Next week I'm going to see Against Me! and Every Time I Die, two of my favourite bands.
Last month I saw The Revival Tour in Shepherd's Bush, and it was amazing. It featured Chuck Ragan, Brian Fallon, Dan Andriano and Dave Hause, but it wasn't like other shows where each has their turn and there's a gap in-between. No, they all came on together and played some songs, then each took turns to play on their own, in duets and groups with the others and some amazing string musicians.
I didn't know much of the music before I went, but it was one of the most enjoyable shows I've been to in a long time, it was so different, so refreshing and the music was fantastic, and such a mix of the different artists' bands, solo work and a few covers
That's what live music is all about, it's incredible. So stop sitting in your house listening to music on your stereo, computer, iPod, r4ds or whatever else, get out and go see the real thing live.

The importance of mobile phones is paramount as shall be illustrated in this short tale. When I was fifteen years old, my friends and I went to an abominable dive in Neasden which had the audacity to categorise itself as a ‘nightclub’. Plagued with perverted weird men, sticky floors, watered down bootleg alcohol, and terrible music, it was the last place on earth you’d want to be unless you were too young to get in anywhere else.
Two and a half hours into the night and my friend who was always the drunken liability of our youth had disappeared. Not too anxious as she was usually to be found asleep in a cubicle, I only looked for her half an hour later. She was not to be found however, and she had left all her belongings in the cloakroom, including her money, travel card, and keys. Then panic commenced as she was very drunk when last seen and had left all means of going anywhere in the cloakroom. The police had to be called and were her parents! If only she had gone to Three.co.uk/store and bought herself a phone!
